 Dr. Bob Drozda, Chief Instructor, Advisor and Coach of the Boise State University Taekwondo Club, announces the 2009 BSU Open Taekwondo Championships. The tournament will be held November 7, 2009 in the Jordan Ballroom located on the 2nd floor of the Student Union Building at 1910 University Drive, Boise, Idaho. All entries, including coaches, and referees must be pre-registered. All Registration Forms must be postmarked or received on or before October 23rd 2009. Check-in and Weigh-in will start promptly at 7:30 am and will close promptly at 8:30 am. All competitors must check-in or they will be disqualified, and their registration fees will not be refunded. Officials, Coaches, and Volunteers Meeting: 9:00 a.m. (All coaches and officials must attend in order to receive their credentials)

* No registrations will be accepted after this date.

†    A $15 discount will be given for registrations postmarked on or received before October 23, 2009.

 

Instructors must sign registration forms acknowledging all information has been filled out correctly.

 

Spectator Admission:       General: $3.00, Student/Child/Senior: $2.00

 

Executive Divisions:         33 years and older; grouped according to their respective rank, gender, and weight.

Senior Divisions:                18 years and older; grouped according to their respective rank, gender, and weight.

Junior Divisions:                Under age 18; grouped according to their respective rank, gender, weight, and age.

 

Note: All competitors must meet their weight by ±5 lbs or they will disqualify and the registration fee will not be refunded.

 

Disclaimer:                          The Tournament Director reserves the right to change or combine divisions and alter competition rules.

Awards:                                1st, 2nd, and 3rd place individual winners in each division will be awarded medals, presented immediately following the divisions final match.

Coaches Credentials:       Two coach's credentials will be given to each school, for pre-registered coaches. Additional credentials for pre-registered coaches may be purchased for $30 each. These credentials are only to be used by the coaches to whom they are assigned - no one else may use these credentials. No one besides registered coaches will be admitted to competition areas. All medical waivers must be in with registration forms.
